DETAILED HISTORY & GENETIC TESTING TO GUIDE TREATMENT
We take the time to collect a detailed history of prior medications, your responses and side effects. For clients who have been on more than one psychiatric medication without relief or with side effects, we encourage genetic testing which will allow us to adjust medication selection and dosage to meet your needs.
MONITORING & ADDRESSING MEDICATION SIDE EFFECTS
Whether it is fear of weight gain, sexual dysfunction, fatigue, or losing your “spark”, many people will stop taking psychiatric medications even if they are clinically effective for them. At Triangle Wellness & Recovery we address and prevent or treat medication side effects. We may utilize lifestyle changes, alternate treatment options, or treat side effects directly such as using GLP1 agonists for weight gain or at lower doses for weight gain prevention.
We are also equipped to perform necessary baseline or screening tests before starting a new medication, including metabolic monitoring and in-office EKGs.
